Living Well Together: Big Life in a Small Town

Living Well Together with Nicole and Lorne Larson | Ep.64

Dr. Terry McCoskey and Lisa McCoskey Episode 64

In this powerful episode of Living Well Together, we welcome Nicole and Lorne Larson, who share their family's journey of love, loss, and purpose. After Lorne’s retirement from Ramstein Air Base in Germany, the Larsons settled in the Dayton area in 2009, drawn to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the welcoming community of Fairborn. They built a life here, raising their children, Jordan and Xavier, and embracing the small-town charm and close-knit connections.

Nicole and Lorne join us to discuss Jordan Larson INKorporated (Larson INK), the foundation they created to honor their daughter, Jordan, who tragically passed in 2023 at the age of 21 due to Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) from undiagnosed Type 1 Diabetes. Their mission is twofold: to celebrate Jordan’s life and to raise critical awareness about diabetes, its symptoms, and the urgent need for proactive care.

In this heartfelt conversation, we’ll talk about the foundation’s work through Greene Giving, the role of Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) in their lives, and the importance of knowing the signs of DKA—both for diagnosed and undiagnosed diabetics. They also share personal stories of raising their children in Fairborn and their passion for helping others through grassroots advocacy and support for diabetes research and medical organizations.

Tune in to hear their story, learn life-saving information, and find out how you can support Jordan Larson INKorporated and the fight against Type 1 Diabetes.
